Because it uses less fur, the Bomber costs less without sacrificing warmth for everyday wear. It's the hat you reach for on a cold commute, a weekend in town, a casual day out in the elements or some recreational ice fishing. 

That said, if you're breaking trail through the alders at -40°F with a chainsaw, you'll want a Trapper. The Bomber is built for real cold, its just not quite the same level of durable as the Trapper
