Cleaned Skulls and Bones
Every part of the animal has value — and nothing goes to waste.
Our skulls and bones are cleaned using dermestid beetles, a natural and thorough process that removes all soft tissue while preserving the integrity of the bone. Each piece is degreased and then whitened with hydrogen peroxide, ensuring a clean, bright, odor-free finish that's ready for display, study, or creative use.
These are a natural byproduct of our fur harvesting process, reflecting our zero-waste approach to ethical sourcing. From striking display pieces to unique craft supplies, beetle-cleaned bones and skulls carry the beauty and story of Alaska's wildlife.
Quality Grades:
- A Quality — Perfect condition, no visible damage or imperfections
- B Quality — Minor imperfections such as small chips, slight discoloration or cracked teeth. May be missing 2-3 small teeth; does not affect display value and is a great economy option for a pretty good skull.
- C Quality — Significant damage such as cracks or missing sections; still highly usable in crafts, mounts, and mixed media projects
